Sportswear giant Nike has informed the representatives of new Aston Villa striker Marcus Rashford. That it has requested to terminate its sponsorship deal due to the 27-year-old’s eligibility.

The Sport Mail reports that after Rashford considered loan offers from several clubs. One of which was Galatasaray of the Turkish Super League. He rejected them and instead opted for Alvaro Morata of AC Milan. สมัคร UFABET

The media outlet believes that the reason the English striker is not playing outside the English Premier League is because he wants to keep the annual sponsorship fee that the American brand is willing to pay him, which is 1.5 million pounds per year, including bonuses.

However, wearing the ‘Singha Phuangad’ uniform still means losing that sponsorship money. Because it is not a ‘Big 6’ team consisting of United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Spurs as agreed.

Moreover, some of the previously received support fees under the agreement were also refunded.

It is another heartbreak for Rashford because he lost both money and face. Therefore, he hopes to vent all his pent-up frustrations on the field. The earliest of which is the FA Cup fourth round against Spurs (9 February ) .

The 60-times capped star will don the no.9 shirt at Aston Villa and has been impressed by the club’s prospects. After signing he said: “It’s an ambitious time for this club and a great opportunity for me to join the team. And help them keep pushing forward.
